Happy Sunday! I hope everyone has had a wonderful two weeks of writing! I, unfortunately, hit a bump in the road with some illness and general life craziness, which is why I missed last week’s newsletter. My writing routine got all messed up and now I’m just working on getting back into that routine.
This week, I wrote a story on Medium about how my routine got messed up in the first place and the approach I’m taking to get back into it. If you also struggle with routine, I hope it can be helpful to you!
Without further ado, here are the writing resources for this week!
The Center for Fiction (FREE) - This website is an amazing resource for writers and readers of fiction! From book recommendations and author interviews to podcasts, videos, and personal essays about the power of fiction, there’s so much information to dig into about the craft of writing and enjoying fiction. They also have a ton of writing workshops available, although most of them are not free.
Sparkloop Partner Network’s Partner Program (FREE) - If you have a newsletter or blog, Sparkloop is a great way to support creators you enjoy while also earning a referral fee. It is free to join the program and to sign-up for the referral programs offered by different creators. Once you have joined, you also have the option to budget funds towards a referral program for your own platform, if that’s something that is within your budget. It’s a great, low-risk way to earn an affiliate income by recommending the creators you love!
Writing Tips Oasis (FREE) - If you write or have an interest in writing personal essays, this is a great guide for how to develop and publish an essay collection based on your existing writing or new ideas. I always appreciate a good step-by-step guide because my brain often skips to what I think the final product should be instead of working through the actual steps to make the thing happen, and this resource helps a lot with breaking a big project into smaller, more attainable steps.
I hope these resources help you on your writing journey! If you’re looking for a particular type of resource, please let me know by leaving a comment and I’ll give you some specific recommendations.
Have a great week of writing!
-Molly
